Lexiq
Translate without compromise
A native macOS translation utility that keeps sensitive text close, supports local Ollama models, and makes multi-provider translation feel like a system shortcut.

Lexiq started with a simple constraint: translation should be available everywhere, while private text should not need to leave the Mac. I designed and built the product around that tension — a quiet macOS utility with a fast main window, menu bar access, and a global selection shortcut.
Private by default
The local Ollama path keeps translation on the device. When a customer chooses a cloud or BYOK provider, the app makes that choice visible and stores provider keys in macOS Keychain rather than in app preferences.
Now on the Mac App Store
Lexiq is live.
A private AI translator for macOS — available to download, with local Ollama support and your choice of translation providers.

One app, the provider that fits
Google Translate and DeepL cover the everyday path, while Ollama and customer-provided OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, xAI, and OpenRouter keys extend the app for more demanding workflows. Settings explain the trade-offs instead of hiding them behind a generic AI switch.
Translation where the thought happens
The ⌘ C C flow turns selected text into an immediate translation without forcing a context switch. The interaction is designed for keyboard-first macOS use: enable it once, select text in another app, and invoke Lexiq only when needed.
Designed for the real Mac
The product keeps a native window, menu bar and Dock entry points, light and dark appearance, local history and favorites, dictation, and a clear path to settings. Promotional screens extend the same product language across privacy, providers, and multilingual use cases.
